Internet Privacy
International regulations entitle residents of the European Union (EU) to the following rights with regards to their personal data: right to be informed, right to erasure, right to data portability, right to access, right to rectification, right to restrict processing, right to object, and rights related to automated decision-making that conform with the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) for the EU.
These rights are recognized by Florida Tech and are administered through Florida Tech’s data privacy officer (privacy@169577.com).

FERPA Training
This online module takes approximately 15 to 20 minutes to complete and provides you with training needs relating to student education records. This course covers important legal terms related to the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), the general responsibilities of staff members under FERPA, FERPA’s rules regarding confidentiality and disclosure and the rights of students to access and inspect their own education records kept by the school.
Steps:
- Log in to your TRACKS accounts
- Click Continue and it will direct you to HSI website
- On your HSI Dashboard, select View Catalog
- Search for FERPA, select FIT - FERPA: Confidentiality of Records course
- The course will launch to complete
